Classic Works has its own site within the Chantier Naval of La Ciotat (shipyard). The site comprises 1500 square metres of covered workshops and about 2200 square metres of open air work space.
The workshops have sliding roofs which allow boats to be placed inside with or without their rigs up. Boats are lifted out of the water and placed onto the site by a crane which runs on a track between the site and the water. The roofs are then slid across to cover the boat or left open if the rig is still in.
Classic Works also has space alongside the workshops for shorter term projects where the boat can be covered by a thermo-retractable tent. Inside the bubble, humidity can be controlled so that the hull planks do not dry out.
Classic Works also has access to a large area of uncovered space which is ideal for quick turnarounds with routine tasks such as anti-fouling. Boats can be lifted with or without their rigs still in place.
