Launched as Turmoil in 1995, this all-aluminium displacement Research Vessel Yacht was originally constructed to a Vripack design at Palmer Johnson in the United States. She covered many thousands of miles around the globe, including twice through the North-West Passage above Canada.
In late 2006, her new owner converted Turmoil into a luxury cruising yacht of the highest possible standard and renamed her Putty VI. At the end of 2008 the yacht changed hands once again and she was renamed Dione Sky. She entered Classic Works for routine maintenace and specific interior works to adapt her to the new owner's requirements (including new marble and maple work surfaces in the galley). | |
 | Also, in order to increase the comfort during long crossings, a new black water sewage treatment plant was installed. The shore power transformer was also upgraded and a new insulation system was installed for the engine exhaust. A general maintenance on the engines was undertaken as well as a general review of all the systems plus a new lighting system was installed in all the owner's areas. The boat stayed at Classic Works between October 2008 and February 2009. At the end of her stay with us she left La Ciotat at the start of a round the world voyage. |
